If you want to obtain a green card, please do not attempt to adjust your status on your own. Immigration law is complicated, highly regulated, and changes constantly. If you submit an adjustment of status application on your own, you may run into previously hidden problems that can stall your approval, or even cause you to be removed from the country.

At worst, they take your money, and give you no assistance in return, or even hurt your case by telling you to file bogus reports with the USCIS--a removable offense.
